When you injure your skin either by accident a result of surgery, your body works to repair the wound. The body creates collagen to reconnect the tissues broken apart by the injury. While the body does this work, it forms a scab over the wound. The scab protects the wound from germs as the body heals.

When the damaged skin is repaired, the scab dries up and falls off. In its place, there may or may not be a scar. If there is a scar, it can be pale pink, brown, or silver and can also be elevated, wider in appearance or have a depressed area in the area

    What is a Skin Pen treatment?


    SkinPen/Micro Needling is clinically proven to improve the appearance of facial acne scars for people aged 22 and above for all skin types. SkinPen triggers the skin's remodeling process by creating thousands of tiny micro-injuries in the dermis, generating new collagen without causing the formation of scar tissue.


    What will I feel?


    You will arrive and have a numbing compound applied to the area being treated. Once numb a delivery of needles in a pen will be applied 3 or more times in one area and at depths that are pre-determined by what is being treated. Expect pin prick bleeding during this treatment. Once completed a cool application of non scented ointment is applied and rubbed in. Don't be surprised by your skin shedding in the coming days as that's normal!


    How many treatments will I need?


    Typically a session lasts from 10 to 20 minutes. One to three treatments are usually sufficient to see results. Additional treatments may be recommended, especially for excessively sun-damaged skin. Your skin care consultant will advise you
