Let us help to treat, target, and correct!

What is Melasma?

Melasma is a common skin condition characterized by the development of dark, irregular, and symmetrical patches of brown or grayish-brown pigmentation on the skin. These patches typically appear on areas of the face exposed to sunlight, such as the cheeks, forehead, bridge of the nose, and upper lip. Melasma is sometimes referred to as "chloasma" or "the mask of pregnancy" because it often occurs during pregnancy due to hormonal changes, but can also affect individuals who are not pregnant.

Treatment options for melasma include, chemical peels, laser therapy, topical skincare products, and strict sun protection measures. It's essential for individuals with melasma to use broad-spectrum sunscreen daily and take steps to minimize sun exposure to help prevent the worsening of pigmentation. • Skin Pen Treatment Details

    What is a SkinPen treatment?

SkinPen/Microneedling is clinically proven to improve the appearance of hyperpigmentation and melasma for people aged 22 and above for all skin types. SkinPen triggers the skin's remodeling process by creating thousands of controlled, tiny micro-injuries in the dermis, generating new collagen and elastin without causing the formation of scar tissue.

    What will I feel?

Upon arrival, a topical numbing compound will be
applied to the treatment area and left for about 20 minutes. Once numb, a delivery of needles in a pen will be applied 3 or more times in one area and at depths that are pre-determined by what is being treated. Expect pin-prick bleeding during this treatment. Once completed, a cool application of non scented ointment is applied and rubbed in. Don't be surprised by your skin shedding in the coming days as that's normal!
